New Date: Saturday November 7, 2015 [Due to Red Line weekend shutdowns for track maintenance, the Urban/MBTA ride has been moved up one week.] WHEN: Saturday, November 7, 2015 WHERE: Quincy City Hall Plaza at 7:30 a.m. We will board Red Line at Quincy Center and take it to JFK/UMass. From JFK/UMass we will ride through South Boston to the waterfront, cross the Fort Point Channel into Downtown Boston, ride through the North End to the Charles River where we will cross the locks to the bike/pedestrian path at North Point Park. We will travel into Cambridge, stop for coffee, then cross back into Boston by the Massachusetts Avenue bridge. We will be riding the Shining Sea Trail which begins in North Falmouth and we will ride to Woods Hole. It is an 1 hour to 1 ½ leisurely ride from the trail head to Woods Hole riding on a paved rail trail and passing cranberry bogs, wet lands, and riding along Falmouth beach before arriving in Woods Hole.
