Thank you, Quincycles members, for your volunteerism, your support, and most especially for your presence on bikes in Quincy. We have been working since 2012 when Nathan Pipho of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church called a group of us together to begin the work of what became Quincycles.
Now, ten years later, there is at least one bike lane in almost every part of the city adding to what will someday be a connected, safe network. We have more than doubled the number of people biking in Quincy just in the last 2 years. We have supported the work of the Bicycle Commission and, as a result, Quincy has been honored with bronze level Bicycle Friendly Community status from the League of American Bicyclists. It continues to be a great ride!
Please register here to join us on Saturday, October 8 at 9AM for our regular monthly Second Saturday Ride. We will start at Wollaston Beach, go on a relaxed 10 mile ride that touches almost every bike lane in Quincy, and return to the beach for a gift and treats for you all. We will guide riders via two routes — one route will be a challenging, hillier 10 miles, and the other a flatter 10 miles.
Let’s celebrate this community of people who are biking here in Quincy and who work to make it safer for those who want to bike here.
This ride is recommended for ages 16+.
Quincycles rides are open to members and non-members. Bicycling involves certain inherent risks. Your participation in a Quincycles ride constitutes your agreement to this Acknowledgement, Waiver and Release. Please review our Ride Guidelines before the ride and check our Facebook page for weather related updates
