The City of Quincy wants your feedback on how it can improve its sidewalks and roadways to be safer and more accessible to those who bike, walk, run, stroll or roll (or however you choose to get around)!
The city is looking to create a master plan for the next decade+ to lay out a connected multimodal transportation network.
The city wants to know what YOU think could be improved on our city streets.
Help make your community a better place and help your local government and tax dollars serve you – follow the link to the city feedback portal, drop a pin in a location on the map you want to changes and leave a comment. All comments will be reviewed and assessed when the master plan is created!
I’m almost 80 so I will speak for seniors with mobility problems. we all have balance problems, so keep the side walks flat & safe for all bikers & walkers. No cobblestone, decorative uneven surfaces etc. It is hard for us & kids & everyone in between. a clear example is the crane library front entrance, it is difficult to walk over and many have fallen. I hold onto the wall. I’m sure the architect loved the look, but it is not safe. it could lead to unnecessary law suits.
I live in Houghs neck where the roads & sidewalks are appalling! Move the repairs as fast as possible.
Thank you for the comment – i’ll make sure this reaches the city.
The City really needs to start enforcing jaywalking laws across Quincy to make our city’s streets safe for everybody!
