WHEN: July 16, 7:30 am
WHERE: Meet at Quincy City Hall at 7:30 a.m. Please bring, or arrive early enough to purchase on your way, your Charlie Card or Charlie Ticket so as not to delay the group.
ROUTE: We will take the Red Line to Broadway. Anyone wishing to start from another point should plan on meeting the group by 8 a.m. at the Hubway bike station opposite Gillette on Dorchester Avenue, just north of Broadway.
From Broadway we’ll make our way to the Fort Point Channel Path, along other scenic ways in Boston and Cambridge, then back to Boston with a stop for coffee along the route. We return to Broadway where riders can opt either to end the ride and get back on the Red Line for Quincy (approximately 10 miles pedaling total), or pedal back to Quincy (approximately 18 miles total).
The ride will demonstrate how bringing one’s bike on the T expands a cyclist’s horizons. For information on bikes on the T, go to:

The ride will also show how neighboring cities are accommodating cycling, which will be informative for Quincy bicycle advocates. This tour will be a good introduction to urban cycling while offering many water views.
