August Week 3 Ride: Back Roads from Bridge to Bridge

August 17, 2020 - August 23, 2020

One of our goals has always been to help new riders find their way through the city without riding in stressful situations.  Normally we have done this with our Discovering Quincy and Easy Rider Rides.  We take new riders on the calmer streets that get you from point A to B (and in between) with a group of people on bikes — a situation many of you have said you miss.  Riding in groups builds confidence and comfort when you are new to riding a bike on city streets.  While we aren’t guiding you in person, we hope you are enjoying these ride routes that show you the less-stressful (and somewhat less direct) routes through Quincy.  We are working on converting these routes from MyMaps to a GPS format for you.  Thanks for you patience!

Quincyclist Rob C. has shared his route this week — a streamlined backroads path that will get you from Marina Bay to the USS Salem in Quincy Point.  You’ll pass Pageant Field on the way and so if you go Friday afternoon, be sure to bring a basket or panniers for the Quincy Farmer’s Market.
