Our annual bike powered food drive in partnership with the Interfaith Social Services Food Pantry. While Cranksgiving is traditionally a festive, competitive scavenger hunt, we choose to ride together to shop as much or as little as we are able for items needed by the food pantry at Interfaith Social Services. Rain date Sunday, November 13.
This year we will offer a group ride route visiting 5 stores for gathering donations from the list below. You choose where to shop and what to buy according to your own bike’s carrying capacity and your budget. The ride ends at O’Rourke Field for a celebration and a free raffle of prizes for participants. Please note that the ride is one way and not a loop ride.
If you would prefer a hillier route on roads with more challenging traffic to visit other Quincy stores, we might suggest this alternate route. We will not be leading a group ride on this route.
If you would prefer to donate money directly to Interfaith Social Services, you can so here.
Here is a list of the pantry’s most needed items so you can plan your donations.
Many thanks to Zachary Bakalos, the QHS student who designed our Cranksgiving logo back in his senior year.
