Destination Ride: Cape Cod Rail Trail

Join Quincycles for a day of bicycling along the Cape Cod Rail Trail.  We will all start together, but this will be a ride-at-your-own-pace ride. If you choose to ride the whole trail, the round-trip distance is 23 miles from Yarmouth to Wellfleet (46 miles round trip) and your ride could take 4-5 hours.  You can choose to ride a shorter distance.

Ride starts at 8:30am — ride your own pace and preferred distance

Meet at the Station Avenue Trailhead Parking Lot

Directions (approximately 65 minutes to drive there): Take 3 South to the Cape then over the Sagamore Bridge to Rte. 6. Take exit 75 (old exit 8) toward Union St/Yarmouth/Dennis: that’s a right at the fork off the exit. Go about .35-.4 miles and pass under the bike trail bridge and take a quick left into the parking lot.

Notes from Ride Leader Mike:

• There are usually no bathrooms at the Station Ave Trailhead so find a place on Station Ave like the Dunkin Donuts or the Cape Cod Lumber store
• Should the Station Ave parking lot be filled when you arrive on April 16, there are other lots along the trail such as Old Bass River Road
• There are bike stores, eateries along and off the trail.
• There is a bathroom at mile 11 on the path
• Any chance of rain will cancel the ride.
• Carry spare tube and patch kit and pump
