What: The fourth of a series of rides to connect and explore the neighborhoods of Boston and Quincy by bike. Rides are appropriate for 16+ and helmets are required. Get your Neighborhood Ride Series Passport stamped as you enjoy all 5 rides around South Metro Boston and be entered to win prizes form local businesses.

Our route map is now live! We’ll be taking a “Puddingstone Tour”, visiting 4 locations in Dorchester that have rock outcroppings and 1 Puddingstone Parish. Learn about Metro Boston’s geological history, including Roxbury Puddingstone, Mattapan Volcanic Complex and more! Hear famous Boston-poet Oliver Wendell Holmes’ verse “The Dorchester Giant” read a-top this millions years-old rock!
The route is 10-miles long, with about half of that distance along off-road paths. This will be a no-drop ride with multiple stops along the way to rehydrate.
