Destination Ride: East Bay Trail
Saturday October 12, 8:30 am. Meet at Riverside Trailhead, East Providence, RI A 90 minute (one way), leisurely ride all on the bike trail that goes along the East River waterfront and through several quaint towns in Rhode Island. We will stop for coffee in Bristol and then return to the trail head parking lot. Please bring a spare tube and read our Ride Guidelines before you come. Directions: Take I-95 south to Providence Rhode Island. In Providence take Route I-195 East. Take exit 4 (Riverside) to Veteran’s Parkway. The parking area (the large parking lot at the top of the hill) is approximately 1/4 mile on your right. Quincycles rides are open to members and non-members. Saturday September 28, 10:00 am. Meet at Minute Man Visitor Center, 250 N. Great Rd., Lincoln 01773 We will ride parts of the historic battle road where the Minutemen clashed with the British on April 19, 1775, through Concord Center to the North Bridge where “once the embattled farmers stood and fired the shot heard round the world.” We’ll continue along the Concord River, return to Concord Center for coffee, then ride back to the Visitor Center in Lincoln. Approximately 17 miles with frequent stops. Arrive at the starting point early to take in some exhibits. Please bring a spare tube and read our Ride Guidelines before you come.
