This bike and pedestrian path that connects Commander Shea Blvd to the Neponset Bridge was deluged and buried in debris from the nor’easters this month. I’ve seen cyclists and pedestrians trying to navigate the path around and over the debris while riding on Commander Shea. People want to use the path and I hope you will join me and give a bit of time to help clean it up. The Quincy DPW and Parks Department will be providing tools and trash bags and will take the trash we bag up away — thank you City of Quincy! You just need to show up and give us a hand for a half hour, an hour, or whatever time you have between 7 and 10 this Saturday morning. For the past two years Save the Harbor/Save the Bay has supported our Beaches of Quincy Ride. The Shamrock Splash will be at the B.C.Y.F. Curley Community Center at M Street in South Boston. Registration begins at 10:00 am and the Splash will be at 11:00. Please go to www.shamrocksplash.org to get more information and to register as part of the Quincycles Team. There is a $20.00 registration fee as well as the option to make an additional donation. If you are not able to join us, please consider making a donation to support the Quincycles Team.
