Flag Day Parade

Join Quincycles in the annual Quincy Flag Day Parade scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at 7:00pm! Come out and join the fun and help promote bicycling in Quincy. Marchers are asked to show up by 6:00pm at the Thomas Crane Library. The 1.2 mile parade steps-off at 7 p.m. at the intersection of Coddington and Hancock Streets and proceeds north on Hancock Street to Merrymount Parkway, disbanding at Pageant Field. Destination Ride: East Bay Trail

Destination Ride: East Bay Trail Quincycles is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our first destination ride of 2015. WHEN: Saturday May 30th. 8:30 AM WHERE: We will meet at the Riverside parking lot at 8:30 a.m. DIRECTIONS: Take I-95 south to Providence Rhode Island. In Providence take Route I-195 East. Take exit 4 (Riverside) to Veteran’s Parkway. The parking area is approximately 1/4 mile on your right. ROUTE: We are planning to ride the East Bay Trail which goes from East Providence to Bristol, Rhode Island. The ride will take you along the East River and through several villages and State Parks. In Bristol we will enjoy coffee and pastry at the Sip and Dip Coffee shop and take time to enjoy the waterfront before our return ride back to Providence. This will be a 3 to 3 1/2 hour ride at a leisurely pace with several rest stops. RIDE LEADER: The ride leader will be Tim Lanham. Easy Rider Ride: Saturday May 16 at 9:00 AM

This Saturday, join us for a leisurely ride around the lovely Merrymount neighborhood, exploring relaxing ways to get around by bike. Afterward you can stop by Ginger Betty’s with us to enjoy some coffee. Wear your Quincycles t-shirts! When: May 16 at 9AM Where: Meet in front of Merrymount School, 4 Agawam Rd, Quincy, MA 02169 The Route: Meander through Merrymount Cross Sea St to Broad Meadows Ride partway along “the Dike” and through a few neighborhoods Turn around at LaBreque Field Back along the dike for a bit before crossing over to the Post Island Road neighborhood. And back to Merrymount School Afterward: Head over to Ginger Betty’s and relax with a coffee!
