This ride will be a unique experience every month.  Meet at the Woodbine entrance to the Wollaston MBTA (near the bike cage as pictured) and we will guide you around the neighborhoods of Quincy connecting the places we love via our new bike lanes and low-stress, secondary roadways.  Length of ride will be determined day of depending on attendees — scheduled time of the event is an estimate. Neponset Trail Ride

The Harvest Bridge has been open to the public 4 years this month!  Joe Hern will be leading us on a ride from Quincy Center through Milton to Mattapan Square, then along the Neponset Greenway Trail.  We’ll cross back into Quincy via the Neponset Bridge and take Hancock Street back to Quincy Center. The route is approximately 13 miles. We ride at a social pace and all our rides are no-drop. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and state mandates, this ride will not be held if social distancing and limited gathering size requirements remain in place. Please check this page again to confirm the ride will be held. Please ride responsibly during the public health crisis. If you choose to ride on your own, please follow these safety guidelines: 1)      Ride alone or with people you already live with and adhere to social distancing guidelines. 2)      Bring all the snacks and water you will need to minimize stops at stores and interactions with others. 3)      Ride with caution since our medical community is already overburdened. 4)      Plan your ride to minimize stops and have a backup plan should you need assistance. 5)      Do not ride if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19. Join us to learn new routes through the back streets of  Wollaston, Montclair, and Milton neighborhoods and connect our city by bike. Our Discovering Quincy Rides are designed to show you routes through Quincy that are less stressful than riding on the main roads you might use when driving.  We want you to experience how bikeable Quincy is, to feel comfortable riding to local destinations and doing errands on two wheels.
