Destination Ride: Shining Sea Trail

WHEN: October 14, 8:30am WHERE: Shining Sea Trail, Falmouth WHAT: The Shining Sea Bikeway follows the original route of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad that used to run from Buzzards Bay, through North and West Falmouth, around Woods Hole and into Falmouth Station. Enjoy a leisurely ride with us and stop for coffee before the return ride. Directions to the Shining Sea Trail: Drive to Cape Cod and cross over the Bourne Bridge. Follow Rt. 28 South to the Rt. 151, North Falmouth, Mashpee exit. Take that exit and turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Rt.151 west.  Go through one traffic light following signs to North Falmouth. After crossing the train tracks turn right into the Depot Rd. parking lot. Quincycles rides are open to members and non-members. Destination Ride: East Bay Bike Path, Providence to Bristol

WHEN: Saturday, May 20, 8:30am WHERE: East Bay Trail at the Riverside trail head. Directions: Take I-95 south to Providence Rhode Island. In Providence take Route I-195 East. Take exit 4 (Riverside) to Veteran’s Parkway. The parking area (the large parking lot at the top of the hill) is approximately 1/4 mile on your right. WHAT: A 90 minute (one way) leisurely ride all on the bike trail that goes along the East River waterfront and through several quaint towns in Rhode Island.  We will stop for coffee in Bristol and then return to the trail head parking lot. Quincycles rides are open to members and non-members. May Destination Ride: East Bay River Trail, Providence, RI

WHEN: Saturday, May 21, 8:30am WHERE: Meet at the Riverside parking lot at 8:15 am and plan to start the ride at 8:30 ROUTE: We are planning to ride the East Bay Trail which goes from East Providence to Bristol Rhode Island. The ride will take you along the East River and through several Villages and State Parks. In Bristol we will enjoy coffee and pastry at the Sip and Dip Coffee shop and take time to enjoy the waterfront before our return ride back to Providence. This will be a 3 to 3 1/2 hours ride at a leisurely pace with several rest stops. This is one of the nicest bike trails in New England. Please plan to join us and bring a friend or two!
