The Neighborhood Ride Series returns! Local riders will highlight cultural and historical sights, along with parks and other favorite destinations.

The ride will begin in front of Ashmont Cycles in Peabody Square at 10:00am on Saturday, August 5th. The rain date for this ride is Sunday, August 6th (same time and place).

Get your Neighborhood Ride Series Passport stamped as you enjoy all 5 rides across South Metro-Boston neighborhoods this summer. For every ride you complete you will be entered to win great prizes from local businesses!

Our route map is now live! We’ll be taking a “Puddingstone Tour”, visiting 4 locations in Dorchester that have rock outcroppings and 1 Puddingstone Parish. Learn about Metro Boston’s geological history, including Roxbury Puddingstone, Mattapan Volcanic Complex and more! Hear famous Boston-poet Oliver Wendell Holmes’ verse “The Dorchester Giant” read a-top this millions years-old rock!

The route is 10-miles long, with about half of that distance along off-road paths. This will be a no-drop ride with multiple stops along the way to rehydrate.
